Jouvay cocoa butter is made from pressed Grenadian cocoa beans. In the chocolate making world, cocoa butter is often deodorized to create a neutral, uniform flavor. We leave our cocoa butter unaltered, resulting in its rich, floral flavor and deep golden color.
Cocoa butter, the naturally occurring fat in cocoa beans, is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and fatty acids. An essential ingredient in chocolate, it can also be used in cooking and baking.
In addition to its culinary use, cocoa butter has been prized for centuries as a luxurious massage oil and body lotion--many of our customers buy it to make natural moisturizers and soaps.
